RSR Engine Mounting Bars
I have been collecting photographs of RSR Engine bars for just over a year now
![]() I have seen photographs of a bar with only one return edge and with an array of 6 holes (Slidevalve RSR) which I tend to think may be correct. I have seen several bars where the first 'lightening' hole is 72mm diameter rather than the more common 60mm version. There is a bar manufacured in Switzerland which is made from 4mm thick material and another in the UK that is made from the 'correct thickness' which is not specified. (Standard bars being a nominal 3mm) I also have an SC/RS engine bar that has the lower return edge added by welding and the upper return has had its thickness doubled with welded strip. I am reasonably confident that this is genuine. Does anyone have any definitive photo/sketches of even a good description? |

Hey Chris, It would be most excellent if you can post pictures of your finding. I made mine using 3 holes spaced equally apart. Looks correct so I went with it.

RR Engine Bars
I am just a bit concerned about posting other people's photo's, which is why I haven't done as you suggest.

![]() ![]() I would also like to see your collection of photos. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but once photos are posted I think they become public domain. I am looking for a photo of the latest RSR engine bar......... the 2010 GT3 RSR or however they describe the latest version. The alum crossbar on my 996 motor seems awfully inadequate and I would like to replace or reinforce it. Perhaps I will call Rennline to see if they have something like they do for the 964 & 993. the entire internet would collapse if no one was posting other people's photo's

This is a 997GT3 Cupcar, a few years old. I do not know where I got this photo, probably Porsche's website, but it is not mine.
