What's the best way to remove and replace the brake sensor on an 88 carrera?

I just rebuilt my 1st caliper and I broke the sensor on the pad removing it. I am wondering if it was just heated from driving with frozen calipers and the heat fried them.
But still, as I pulled it out it cracked.
I will probably have to order a set of them.
Is there an easy way to remove them and put them back in?

Thanks
Jack

I would just order some new ones, they are pretty inexpensive. You can drive around for a few days without them.

hell, you can crack new ones easy. best to take a file and clean up the slot, deburring and removing paint so it can be pushed in all the way without breaking. as for removing them, just a medium screwdriver blade under it and gently pry. 50/50 chance you'll save it.
