Angry Motor Meister Complaints

This fellow Roy at MM appears to be quite a sleazeball and has been a sleazeball consistently and regulary for many many years now from what I understand. What I don't understand is in a country where litigation for farting in a public place or disappearance from the face of the earth in the interests of homeland security, is how this tosser remains around to keep on clipping the people in such a severe manner.
From reading the threads there must be hundreds of Porsche owners [if not more] out there that have be turned over by this bloke so why the heck don't you form a group to put him out of the scene.
Afterall what are these forums good for if they don't pull people together for the sake of good for all. Perhaps a bit too socialist for the American palette but them's the facts Solly.
All I hear is one sad story after another and other members wanting to console and kiss to make it better. For heck sake why doesn't one of you make it a project to get a team of wrong done customers together with their individual grievances and approach either the the appropriate authorities or some nasty litigation solicitor. If you took the latter option and you all threw in a couple of hundred bucks each to get the ball rolling on him it would be well worth it in my opinion. What this bloke loves is money [your money] not Porsches. So work out a way to relieve him of it. Even if you take the soft c""k option through a gov't authority if all of you present a united front they cannot just fob you off as they can the individual.
I'll bet with a group of people in Porsches there are already many solicitors in the network that could assist.
A lot of people appear to spend a lot of time on this forum checking out stuff why don't some of you get the ball rolling. I realise that maybe this actual forum may not be the correct venue as it is hosted by an industry person but you all have internet and email status by the the very nature of being here. Do it off forum but do it! I am sick of listening to all you moan and do nothing about it.
Luckily I will never be in this situation as I do my own work and have been around the industry for most of my life. These companies like MM have no right to exist.
Please someone have the bollocks to form a team and grind this bloke.
I prefer the Jewish old testament system "an eye for an eye" not the namby pamby Christian policy of "turn the other cheek.
I'm not Jewish by the way so let's not start a thread on that.

Go get him. I feel better now.
Dave

I do not understan

Why would any magazine which caters to the Porsche Owner's Community allow this company to place adds in their publication? Maybe they should be convinced to refuse to carry MM adds all together.

Without the advertising the company will die. They could not have a satisfied past customer base.

I see rennlist advertizes for them. A big banner right across the top of the page. I cant beleive they would allow it.

webrest is basically saying what I posted on the current "we hate MotorMeister" thread. Kwitcherbellyachin'. Scheiss or get off the pot. Stop boasting that you too got screwed so now you're a member of the club. Whatever you do, stop wasting everybody's time by whining.

Yeah, but there is an educational component at work here, sometimes distressing in it's redundancy, but it has probably educated a few and saved good folks thousands of dollars. And it is entertaining in a "train wreck" kind of way.

Rennlist recently sold to a for profit non Porsche organization....BTW, they accept $$ from a number of other sponsors....including the sposnsors of THIS site....

Probably best if you conact those sposnsors and see if they would be willing to talk to Rennlist?

The truth is....money talks...and BIG money screams!
If the people in the advertising departments of whatever profit making magazines do not get rid of MM....dont buy the mag.
Simple idea....read it at the store if you have to....just dont buy it.
I'm sure that when the circulation goes down....heads will roll.

Good point. I for one had them bookmarked, since they seemed to have good prices. Now I know to avoid them.

I bet it might help to spread the word if someone announces a Sunday morning coffee meet in front of their location (12262 Woodruf Ave. Downey, CA 90241). The coffee meet might attract a few dozen interested parties to park and chat. And what if everyone happened to bring some signage with appropriate wording, and during the event someone videotapes the gathering and some customer interviews for a YouTube broadcast. Unfortunately, MM would be closed on a Sunday morning, but they could catch the replay later on. It'd be a news event. Maybe the local newspaper could be advised too. Sunday morning happenings in Downey are normally pretty quiet.

Just a thought.

Rennlist will sell advertising space to anyone fool enough to keep writing them checks. They are whores - all about the money and vendor politics. They in no way are about standing up for the P-car community in any way.

Steve, the fact that Rennlist is now allowing them to sponsor is undoubtedly the cause of this last wave of protest.

As for the whining, a sucker is born every minute. What is old hat to some of us is new and unknown to many others. Rust never sleeps, and until Liberty Valance comes to town, I expect that such posts will continue. I'm quite sure a number of Pelicans have been spared a painful fleecing because of these posts. I for one consider that a community service.

I didn't mean--although it may have sounded like it, I admit--that we should stop posting about MM, it's just that I'm surprised nobody has actually done anything about these people other than kvetch.

"Turn the other cheek" does not mean that you tuck your tail and hide in a corner ... hoping that God will take justice on your enemy. In fact, when thoughtfully studied, it means quite the opposite. You must read it in the context in which the words were spoken.

Laws and court systems were established in order to resolve disputes in a fair and just manner. You will not find anything in the new testament that suggests Chrisitans do otherwise.

As a Christian ... I say SUE THE SUCKER!

Eye for an eye isn't in the bible - old or new testament. It's in the code of Hammurabi (Mesopotamian ruler).

http://www.democraciaparticipativa.net/documentos/Hamurabi'sCode.html

Don't know about MM personally, but have heard enough that a) I wouldn't use them and b) I'm surprised as hell that they haven't been sued.

Edit for correction - does appear in bible. Hammurabi was first.

Indeed: Exodus 21:23-27.
