Need Help ID'ing Some Parts / Any Value Here?
Starting to organize my many piles of parts to determine if they're worth selling or just pitching. I'd appreciate some input as to a) what some of these parts are and b) what is their worth?
I believe this collection is actually from a '67 912... Incomplete tool kit and (2) jacks? ![]() ![]() This part baffles me...?? ![]() Pedal cluster and....distributor? (Can that be rebuilt / is it worth anything?) The base of the pedal cluster is very rusty, is it worth saving? ![]() ![]()

Is the washer bottle worth anything? ![]() Any value to these trim bits? They're not in great shape, but they're original. ![]() Are these rubber floor mats even Porsche products? ![]() Any help would be appreciated! ![]()

Hi
I don't know 912's. But the round red item is an ignition coil. Probably not worth much... but wait and see what others think. Having said that, the partial tool kit and jack are usually HIGHLY sought after items, as many have dissapeared over the years. Trim parts are also usually popular. You may be pleasantly surprised at what your little treasure-trove gets you! Good luck! |

I'd say that if you asked $175 to $200 for the lot you may sell it pretty quick. The old jacks used to be in high demand but have come down to earth now. I few cottage industry folks are blasting, plating, fixing and painting them and selling them now for $200. The handle fits inside the jack. The handle is in your tool bag. The bag if cleaned up with no rips may be worth about $35 to $50. The lot is your best bet. Advertise it here on the Early S Registry. Just my two cents and not a buyer.

On our car, under the cover, there is a small cavity which housed the Bamberg radio tuning section, our part although made of wood, covered the tuner section. The two "ears" on the part slide into two body grooves, and the top notch accepts a metal adapter that along with a 10mm nut attaches the part to the body. My best guess. Hope this helps, Gerry ![]()

Thanks for the input guys. Does anybody know of any swap meets in the Midwest anytime soon?
Umm...no. I'm not selling anything (yet). I'm looking for technical information. Unless you're saying the classifieds is the place to find technical information?

![]() I believe the vertical parts (the ones the piece is resting on) bolt to the rear of the 912 engine. The four holes on the horizontal piece, receive the bolts from the engine carrier at the rear of the 912 engine bay. The 67 had four bolts with rubber bumpers to isolate vibration--the remnant square shapes on the piece in the picture.

Thanks. I posted here more because I wanted to know what some of these parts are. Value was / is secondary to me. But good idea to check there. I may also check the 912 boards for more input.
Thanks for the heads-up!
