911 sc heater removal
I would like to remove everything possible from the heater system that is not needed for the car to run. If someone could give some instructions on how to do it that would be great. I have heard that you remove and plug holes and I was wondering if there was a way to just take those parts out because I would like as much out as possible.

If you have the Bentley manual, they have a good description. You will probably want to put some sort of plate over the flapper box holes so you don't get engine fumes coming through.

Scott,
Nothing from the heater system is required in order for your car to run. I would recommend that you keep the defrost operational and perhaps simply backdate your system making use of the existing flapper boxes and hoses, while removing the heater blower assembly. If you left click the search button above, a drop down menu will appear. Select the advanced Search option. Type in the words " Heater Backdate " in the search by keywords box. In the small drop down menu below the select search titles only. your search should reveal the information you seek. Shane

You can remove everything in the front trunk and just run hoses from the heat outlets to the defrosters. This combined with the head backdate would still give you some heat to the defrosters with temp control from the levers by the parking brake.
