Jack Olsen, I'd like to request a song ...
Jack,
I probably speak for many by saying how intrigued I am with your melodious exhaust system. Would you be able to make a recording of it? Perhaps sound samples of the car at idle with you occasionally blipping the throttle, and a couple of flybys: one where you're just cruising by, and another where you unleash the fury of the 3.6! It would be very cool. Matt Holcomb 1974 911 Carrera 2.7 Euro 1975 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Dedicated Homepage Engine Rebuild Homepage Porsche Owners Gallery Profile Pelican Gallery Profile |

It would be my pleasure, of course.
But I don't think I'm going to have the car for another week (the car's in the shop, working through the brake trauma of Laguna Seca and the untimely end of my front pads). But I'll try to get as good a recording as my little video camera can manage at the Alfa-Romeo Time Trials on the 12th and 13th. (And how about one of an MFI symphony at, say, 7300 rpm, Matt? ![]()

Jack,
I hope to make a new -- and better -- recording on Tuesday, my time. With the temporary distributor, the engine sounded like a 90-piece orchestra. With the new distributor, it's like a 120-piece orchestra, so stay tuned!
