Speaking of Max Track db's...
I recently visited OREGON Region's website. There, I discovered that a 103 db. limit will be STRICTLY enforced at Portland International Raceway. C'mon up, Jack! If you think your flowmaster would pass. Ditto Michael, etc. You can check the site to find out club track days, info on the track, etc. http://www.oregonpca.org/ Randy...of course anybody with a PCA membership can participate on a track day, but maybe tie this into a northwest R Gruppe gathering as well? Especially if Jack & Michael come up....maybe get a ROTHSPORT car out to play as well?

This has been brought up before, Mike thinks of PIR as his home track, he grew up in the Portland area. Don't know if Jack could handle the beautyful Pacific Northwest, he is from LA you know. Tyson would have to come down from up north and may be the "Blue Bomber" and Mr. Wells too! I am thinking of a track day that is also a PCA race weekend so the Ledbetters will be there.
I'm also thinking about going over to Bogus Basin for the hill climb Memorial Day weekend. Randy Jones 1971 911 |

The Blue Bomber needs an excuse for some new tires! ![]() I raced m/c's for many seasons at PIR before I finally hung up my leathers. In the...harumph...goode olde days, PIR was a pretty nice track to ride. Then CART came to play with the Indy cars. They made many changes to the track which IMO, took some of the fun out of it. Too many concrete barriers, replaced hay bales. It's a deadly place for m/c racers, and auto sheetmetal may not fare too well either in a moment of indiscretion. But, if you like speed, PIR will surely give you a fix. I'm hoping the renovations to SIR (renamed as Pacific Raceways) in Seattle will put that track back on the map as one of the most thrilling venues in the West. SIR has always been my favorite.

I'm coming up to Oregon and Washington for two weeks in June for a wedding. I was hoping that there would be some kind of event going on during that time, but it doesnt look like there are any going on. There is a event at PIR in July, so I'll see if I can get my buddy to arrange his wedding around my plans. ![]() I just want to clarify. I consider PIR my home track only because that is where I'm from. I've attended alot of races there as a spectator, but I've never had the opportunity to drive on it. One intersting thing though. A buddy I went to high school with owns the driving/racing school there. I was also hoping to attend his school while there but the dates don't work out. Tyson, Randy W or any other of you Washington state guys, is there anything going on the last two weeks June?
