Cams difference...

I'd like know difference between sc-rs cams and rsr cams...
Rsr cams : 38 degree intake valve open , 32.5 ext. Valve close
Sc-Rs cams: 82 degree intake valve open, 58 degree ext. Valve close...
It's possible????
What's the best???

well, the factory used the SC-RS for its own rally program - that is a start

thx..but...I think the problem is the following:
87 ° in advance are not too many?
in theory it is a car that only works at high speed ...
are you agree?

RSR is meant to run at redline all the time. If your gear ratios are short enough and close enough that you can keep the engine at redline all the time, then go for it. If not, you need something milder. S?

You can't choose cams outside of the context of the useage and rest of the engine/chassis

the bigger the engine the more street able the same cam will be, the lighter the chassis the more streetable the same cam will be, the shorter the gearing the more streetable the same cam will be

all of these will need deep pockets in the piston crown

the SC/RS cams in a 3.0, mfi, light chassis w/ short gearing was streetable, the rally version using RSR cams was not

ok ... I have the cams of 'RSR ...
I use strictly for rally and uphill racing, my car has a short gearbox (210km / h)
I have several problems in the delivery of power (the car does not go below 4500rpm)
which can be a good alternative to get a good delivery from 3000rpm to have a capacity of about 300HP?

What do you think about the cams DC100??

the RSR cams are designed for power at the high end of the rev range, when used in a 3.0 the torque and hp peaks are respectively @6.5k & 8K w/ nothing down low , thats why they are not streetable in a 3.0.
put them in a 3.8 and the useable power band shifts down, to maybe a marginal street level

DC100 will be very similar to the 906/3.0 RSR cams

you really need to talk to your engine builder about the rev range you want to use for power and torque

Many thanks for your opinions ..
but I have no engine builder ...
I build and test the engine in the race ...
8000rpm would be fine .. but I would prefer that the engine had more torque down ..
cams which you advise me? I use the car only for racing .. (rally and climb) and I need maximum power and torque possible.
My car has all the specs. an original 3.0 RSR:
pistons, cylinders, gears of light distribution, high throttle bodies, Bosch pump, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch, (rods 587g) heads (42/43) valves, valve springs, titanium retainers, rockers (993) distributor with twin plug ... etc ...

Let me give you the advice one more time (reiterate). Your existing functions should be programmed into cam design software and what you are looking for will be custom made.

Since the DC 100 is a new cast billet cam, why not let Dougherty make what you specifically need (if possible)?
