Will 3.2 run with PS hoses outputs from intake plugged off?
I'm putting a 3.2 in my 914 and dont need the PS function. May I simply remove all the plumbing and plug up the openings on the intake? Do i need a reducer in the big line from the case breather to the oil tank?

Yes. I plugged the two lines with the red arrows. The line on the right is a vacuum line for cruise control and brakes. The line on the left connects the oil tank to the throttle body with a valve that prevents icing. I don't drive mine when it's cold so it is capped.
The reducer goes in the large line with the green arrow, from the oil tank to the rubber intake boot before the throttle body. ![]()

If instead of the reducer in the large line I plug the line completely is this OK?
I removed the line for the cruise and PB and plugged it where it goes into the throttle body(?). Is this OK. My problem is after a conversion the car runs rough at idle and I cant smoothly bring the idle up and am wondering if the above "plugging" is giving me the problems. |

Plugging the line will probably cause a problem with the air pressures in the oil tank and crankcase.
Did you completely remove the pipe connecting the rubber intake boot to the intake manifold?
