Wheels & Tires??
I have a '70 T with RS flares in the rear. It currently has BBS wheels on it with 205/50/15's on the front with 225/50/15's on the rear. Not sure of the actual rim width? It looks good but considering replacing the BBS' with 16" Fuchs. I'm thinking that finding 15" tires to fit will be a thing of the past someday? (is this true?) My questions are: What rim width should I be looking for? Can I go with 8" on the rear and 7's on the front or should I stick with 7" rear and 6" on front? What are the maximum width tire sizes I can go with, without rolling the fenders? Are the bolt patterns the same for most model year Fuchs? Thanks for your feedback!

As far as I know the bolt pattern for Fuchs is all the same. Except for the 4 petal 914 2.0L wheels, with 4 bolt pattern.
If you want no hassels, or you don't want to break the bank, I would just go with 16 x 6" & 16 x 7" wheels on your car. |

With RS flares, you can definitely go 7x8x16 (or7x9x16) with 205 front (possibly 225) and 245 rear. You can also put spacers on the 6x7x16 setup if you want to save some money.

I dissagree with your thoughts concerning 15 inch wheels.
Sixteen inchers seem to be the odd-man-out. There are much fewer tire size choices for 16 inch rims vs 15. I believe that 15s will soon occupy the smallest spot, followed by 17 and 18. Just a hunch, but that's how it looks right now. A lot of auto manufacturers put 15 inch wheels on cars for a lot of years. On the other hand, if you stay with conservative sized 16 inch rims (6-9 inches) then 205 to 245 width tires with varying aspect ratios seem to be hanging in there. I just don't know how long these popular sizes will remain available given the popularity of 17-19 inch rims right now.
