New Problem ..
well .... I found a broblema in my car (Porsche 3.0 RSR) from 4000 to 5000 rpm, I installed an alternator of 3.2 with a battery racing (small). it is possible that this problem is caused by the alternator with this battery? ![]() |

From 4000 to 5000 rpm not speed up ...
knead ... as if it were a question of electricity The alternator is charging the battery at 14 amps, but sometimes the rev counter jumps up to full scale ... |

If the 3.2 alternator is not new, things that can be bad include:
- bearings ( not related to your problem) - slip rings worn with major grooves - bad commutator brushes, - bad voltage regulator...internal. Did RSR use external voltage regulator? Why did you use a 3.2 alternator with your earier RSR?. Is it a real RSR? What is the proper alternator for RSR?. Does the 3.2 alternator fit your original housing?. I think we need more information. Others with more and better electrical understanding can chime-in at this point.

A bad voltage regulator can overcharge and cause strange lights and tach symptoms. But at 14 v it's not overcharging. Don't know your new "small" battery but if easy, try a regular full size battery. The little one may let some voltage spikes get through. Ken

is not an original alternator RSR for comfort .. because in the original alternator works with an external voltage regulator should be adjusted to the range of engine rpm ...
Asthe dimentione on the space is the original fan is RSR My current alternator to charge 14volt 14.5volt, a question that came to me and about the range of rpm in that makes the car .. 8500 v 7500 |

Alternator sounds fine. What is your ignition system. Ignition could be causing the problem with the tachometer. It is what sends the signal to the tachometer.
