Decal help??

Hi- I am missing most of the "worker ID sign off" decal on my air flow sensor unit and would like to get one or get a good look at one as I can make a new one if I can get all the words right (german). 85 and 86 had them for sure. Can anyone help with this?

Managed to come up with this decal from remnant of old sticker and looking at lots of photos from Porsche books and so on. Not sure if I got the spelling just right as I don't speak German and I think the font is a little off but best I could do and I guess good enough. Enjoyed that little challenge. Good thing I'm easily amused.

You might want to add the Umlaute.
Here is a quick and easy way to do it. It looks pretty good though.

Crusty,

What do you mean by umlaute??

Has that got something to do with the double dots on top of some letters?

Cheers,

Geoff.

Here's the one I have on my '86.

I asked a German friend to translate...it basically means the engine was checked for air tightness.

Ok-
Happy to help if I can. Font is Myrid Pro -Bold The color (RGB) is R125/ G187/ B191

or the C/M/Y/K is C51/M10/Y24/K0 Hope this helps and if you print don't forget the two dots over the "U". I'm going to print another 6 or so just to have a few spares if they get wrecked

Thanks, Y-P! This is the stuff.

I'm going to make a similar decal for my 88, it's slightly different, with just a thin stripe of blue down the left edge and the bulk of the decal in white; I figured the blue would be similar enough.

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for jump starting me to make one of these.

4 attempts, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

I'll have to wait to for my broken kneecap to heal () to print it on something other than my little inkjet, and I may tweek a couple more details, but I think it looks pretty good:

PS- I ended up using the Ariel font, to get the squared-off punctuation marks.

JJ,

To answer your question an umlaut is a German diacritical mark consisting of a pair of dots placed over a voice changing the sound of that vowel by combining the vowel with the letter e as noted above. The term umlaut in German means changed sound.
