Prototipo Installed- Horn Doesn't Work
Help! I installed a MOMO Prototipo on my SC today along with a 1.5 inch extension. The lead is connected to the horn button but does not work. When the lead is touched to metal the horn blows..... What did I do wrong? Also the turn signal does not automatically "turn off" when the sterring rotates back into position.... Newbie problems and hopefully a simple fix....

not sure about the turn signal, but the horn button usually contacts a metal ring that fits around the opening for the horn switch, this is what ensures a good ground for the switch

Yeah, there is a brass pin on the back of the Prototypo that has a spring behind it and it should contact a brass contact ring that is attached to an insulating backing material.
The cancellation of the signals is due to another ring with a tab that is bent to orthogonal to the back of the hub and this ring/bent tab contacts the stick-out end of your turn lever which is inside the nacelle between the hub and the instrument panel.

There's a ring you install with a ground wire to make the horn circuit. The pin that hits the cancel device is missing on your install.

What all of the above said. The horn wiring is simply the closing of the ground for the horn relay, which actuates the horn. The circuit (in the steering column) consists of a brown wire going to a brass tab behind the hub (touches the hub), and then a wire from the hub to the brass ring behind the horn button (brass ring is sandwiched between the wheel and horn button).

Mine did the same thing. The problem was where the horn button fits into the hub. I had to bend out the square spring thingy so it made better contact with the inner hub. If your horn works when you touch the wire to ground, everything below that point is ok.
