Warren had a good procedure for getting these engines back to life after sitting - I'd search the archives.

If this were my engine, I would shoot the thing full of Chemtool, let it sit for a day or so, and then drive the heck out of it. These engines can come back to life when they are heated up and get hot. It may be slightly painful to get there, but at this point, you have little to lose. I'd be willing to bet a hamburger lunch that the thing comes back to life after about 100 miles of driving at 5000+ rpm. Don't be afraid to beat the snot out of it, to coin a phrase.

+1, although i dont know what chemtool is, but run the snot out of it. what about some seafoam while the engine is running?? you may get lucky. like with this mazda rotory engine i bought years ago. it was locked, but i put a little oil in the port, and worked the crank back and forth and, wala! i had a nice low mileage mazda engine. i was rebulding and 80 rx7. nothing like shifting at 11 grand, and hoding your foot to the floor while shifting.

my 325is i just got has been running better and bettter since i have been running the snot out of it.

air was coming out the exhaust on all bad cylinders? burned valves from a bad adjustment??

This weekend I redid the valve adjustment and all valves were adjusted properly.

Thanks Wayne for the tip...after much searching I think I found warren's post:

opinions on my engine situation requested.

This procedure was for a 2.2 engine with carbs...mine is a '73.5 CIS car. Can I do this by removing the fuel injectors and pouring the Berrymans B-12 down the injector ports? I'd rather not remove the whole CIS intake.

Thanks again for your help!

Sure sounds good. Also, check on the Sea foam spray into the airbox post. you can use a large vacuum hose to suck that stuff in. If you can't find B-12 or Sea foam, you can u se automatic tranny fluid. Don't be afraid to make a mess oh and there will be plenty of smoke!!

i have done the seafoam thing on 2 of my cars. looking back, i would be careful about putting too much in at a time due to hydro lock, it could bend a rod or some other damage.
