Question Green and Yellow Bilsteins

Hi,
I am the third owner of a 85 Carrera. It is pretty much stock at the moment. The condition of the car is very good and it runs real well. What I noticed the other day was while I have the green Bilsteins in the rear of the car, The front bilsteins are yellow. Would this have been a common set up from the factory. I would not think so myself, but I am not sure. Has anyone else who owns a Carrera seen this also. The PO I had purchased from had kept it stock also. I thought I remember reading something on this forum about using HD bilsteins and the Sport bilsteins together. The green are the HD and the yellow are the sports. Is this correct? Would there relationship to one another be correct on my vehicle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They are now both yellow if you order a new HD or Sport.

My '76 Carrera 3.0 came w/ green front and rear, both ends have been replaced, the fronts are still green(I used the 930 struts which come w/ hd inserts) the rears are yellow sports, I have never seen green rears as a replacement item

I've got Green HD's on the back of mine. They were new 3 years ago.

Another Pelican ordered HD dampers and received yellows. He checked with Pelican tech support and they said that Bilstein are now shipping their HD in yellow, not green. This was a couple months ago.

Thanks for the responses. I am going to double check the old records of this car and see if the front shocks were replaced at some point in time. I am going to have it on a lift next week and I might be able to get serial numbers off the four of them and check them with Bilstein.
Thanks again.
