Which of you have put F model mirrors on a G model?

Please show us your own various examples, and methods of this "operation"
And here I am probably thinking of those of you who have come up with a different solution yourself. I'm really into thinking outside the box!
Yes, of course you can weld the original holes, and make new ones for the old mirrors ... but is that interesting ..

No one has ever mentioned noticing, it just looks like a larger base gasket.

These are the 72-73 mirrors. You have to drill a 1/2" hole from the inside of the drivers door, to be able to get the allan wrench acess to the mounting screws in right.
