Old thread I know. But...

I had a problem with hard shifting.

I had just replaced the shift rod bushing, the one under the shifter.
I was told "DO NOT LUBRICATE THE BUSHINGS".

That turned out to be a bunch of BULL DINK.

I lubed up that bushing with some molly grease and my car shifted like butter.

And that was 20 years ago and the bushing is still good.
