What's this hose?

A few days ago I discovered a clear hose laying below my car, on the passenger side roughly underneath the door.
I'd never seen it before, so I'm wondering if it dropped off the car...can't think of where else it would have come from.

Drain hose?
About three feet long... looks old.

Battery not on the passenger side....car hadn't moved for a while, and it wasn't there when I parked it.

Having pulled the engine on my porsche etc etc I haven't encountered a hose looking like that. Could be something the cat drug in.

It's hard to tell the size (diameter) of the hose from the picture but I tend to go along with the others--not car related--unless you have a sunroof. Early car drain tubes were metal but later cars used vinyl and the tubes "exit" just in front of the doors. I doubt they could just fall out, but nothing is impossible. Just a WAG.
