The Blackbird 935 K3 runs!!!
We got her to start late last night. Had to rewire the ignition boxes the other shop did, replace a sensor that had melted wires from when they shrink wrapped it and a host of other nightmares...long story short if you build a harness get someone who has done it many times and isn't experimenting with your $$$.
Andy at Speed Werks has been a saint at troubleshooting and fixing the harness and finally getting her started! The moment we have all been dying to see is here...I give you The Blackbird 3.8tt 935 K3 on YouTube: YouTube - K3 Runs Sent from my iPhone |

what a beast, must be one of the most radical street 911s ever.
Looking forward to seeing video of you getting the most out of it at a local track day.  About time to go out and start melting tires... As far as track tires, a 935 guy mentioned to me that tires for 19" diameter rims are nla, so they are considering a 27" tall tire on a 16" inch diameter rim. Hope you can get her home soon. |

You do know the origin of the SR-71 // vs the RS-71 designation??
LBJ was visiting the Skunk Works the USAF/Lock/CIA?? briefer was telling him about the "RS-71" [reconnaissance surveillance" and LBJ responded about the SR-71 [ surveilance reconnaince"] >> so LBJ said SR-71 >> so be it... he was paying the $$$ he can name it..

Yup my passion for the SR-71 fueled me to create this in its image...I'm too dumb with bad eyesight to fly, plus they decommisioned her prior to me even being close to going to OCS - so since I couldn't fly might as well create a road going version
