How can I disconnect the throttle Pull Rod ?

How can I disconnect the throttle Pull Rod from the shaft ? I've tried to push it out with a screwdriver but I'm afraid to break something. Is there a special trick?

I used a pair of long nose pliers. Yes, it took a good pull to get it loose. You might want to brace the linkage with another set of pliers. One could also, brace the linkage and use a screw driver

Take a close look at the ball socket. I think the one you are referring to has a very small clip that passes through a tiny hole in the ball socket that locks it into place. All the other ones just snap on.

No, there is no clips. I suspected that also. I'll just have to try harder.
