Anyone running 16x7s front and rear?

Does anyone have a pic of their car with 16x7 fuchs on both the front and rear? Any drawback to this? I have a chance to swap out my 16x6s in the front with another set of 7s to match the rear. Maybe in the future if a decently priced set of 8s ever present themselves I would swap those out in the rear.

Other than perhaps making the back end of the car a bit more tail happy I see this as a very viable option. I have 16x7s and 16x9s on my car right now and I was thinking of going with 16x7s all around for my street wheels. Being able to rotate tires would help get some mileage out of each set, and tire selection would be a heck of a lot better than it is now.

Here's some 16x7 on narrow body long hood photos I've collected. Not my cars, so hopefully the owners don't mind me posting them. If your car is lowered, anticipate adding some more neg camber and/or rolling the fender lips to get tire clearance. 205-55-16 seems to be a safe tire size choice to avoid serious rubbing. I'm installing 16x7 951 Fuchs with this tire on my car. Test fitting shows no rub probs on my lower ride height and rolled fender lips.

I've run them for years on my '72. All four fender lips are rolled, and I run about two degrees of negative camber, but my car sits pretty low. They are shod with various 205/55-16's.

Ran my car with 16x7 x 4 with 225/50 for a couple years at the track. Worked great and it wasn't horrifically tail happy. I put 930 28mm spacers on the rear with 72mm length wheel studs to push the wheels out toward the fenders and maintain the rear track width greater than the front. You need to add more negative camber and roll or shave the fender flanges in order to clear the tires.

I enjoyed how the car handled (little bit of high speed oversteer) and I also enjoyed how I could shuffle the tires around the car to balance tire wear.

On the street you're totally fine in my opinion. 7s all around with spacers in the rear does a nice job of improving the look/attitude of the car by pushing the rears out to the fenders (in stock form, the rears are hiding under the flares too much IMO) and filling out the fronts as well.

No need, or room for spacers on a '73 E.

Okay, Jeff I'd make an exception for that fat ass girl!!!!

I think the 16x7 Fuchs would work just fine on the rear end of that car. Look for some 14" spacers and you should be just fine!
