Another voice of support for Keith here. I bought one of the first 8 sets of these wheels, and although there have been teething problems, Keith (and Jeff back then) has been nothing but fantastic in their customer service - including shipping, adjusting, and shipping back a set of wheels I asked him to look at almost two years after I purchased them (which due to the length of time he had good reason to demand payment for but did not).

Thanks for the great customer service Keith.

For somebody like me late to the dance, that certainly paints a better picture for me Keith.

A lot of great info....

But I am still left wondering.

There is no mention of what the current delivery schedules are?
Is up to 1 year (or more) still typical?

I would really like to know how long it will take to get a set of 17x9 and 17x11 (non turbo suspension) wheels in my hands if I ordered them today.

Call or email Keith. The several times I've done so he's always responded promptly (within a day). Heck, the couple times I've PM'd him he responded within 5 minutes! (Though he admitted it was chance--he's not lurking on Pelican 24/7.)

Keith and Aaron at Zuffenhaus are enthusiasts just like all of us on this board. They are hard working, honest guys and are not out to screw anyone. I visited their new location while in NC last November and was most impressed with what they have going on. Everything they do is of the highest quality and they want to get it right, period. They may be having some growing pains, but I guarantee it's all in the best interest of getting things done to the highest quality possible for all of us. Their passion for our hobby is undeniable, and they can be trusted IMO.

Sorry Skinnerd, you are not allowed to ask this question because no one likes the answer.

There is yet to be an answer. Stop the speculation and call Keith to get the answer.

It is. I just called Keith, he answered and gave me an honest time of production over the phone.

By the way, I don't know Keith and I did not tell him why I was calling initially. It was a completely blind call.

Additionally, if anyone wants wheels for a non-turbo, they have them in stock and can be shipped after they are prepped by Harvey. It sounds like they should be done in 5-6 weeks, depending on Harvey's schedule. Turbo offsets are taking more time. If interested in Turbo's or anything further, I would just give Keith a call to discuss, he seems like a really nice guy and avid enthusiast.

Let's all imagine for a minute that YOU are a manufacturer of some widget and there is an online forum where a question is asked ... "What is the production time to make me one of your widgets?" ... Now fast forward after 89 posts and 5743 views ... Can YOU imagine in your wildest dreams that you wouldn't post the answer to the question yourself???????

You guys are all truly nice folks to defend the manufacturer of these wheels and I'm sure that they are fabulous wheels. But why doesn't the manufacturer answer the question?

If they weren't trying to blatantly market on another company's website, yes they would use discretion.

It's a conspiracy ... Skinnerd is actually Keith and he posted the question to market his wheels and get all of this free advertisement. You just can't trust anybody anymore.

Thank you Ed, sometimes I'm dumb as a post.

Dave 930,

Seems Keith already answered the question of how long. Why don't you call and get a lead time instead of asking us to guesstimate??

No matter what the manufacturing process, there are always manufacturing defects. On a custom product with very low volume, and no stock inventory, if you hit a snag, the order is delayed. You don't have the luxury of trashing the defect and pulling another wheel out the other hundreds that a large scale manufacturer might produce.

So the problems are:
1. low demand
2. Of the demand that is there, it is not for one size, it is for several different widths
3. manufacturing company (Zuff) is small and probably cannot justify spending capital to invest in inventory stock because of low demand
4. Because of the low manufacturing volumes, low priority is given to Zuff on the machining, forging and finishing process. The shops carrying out this work are probably doing the Zuff wheels as a side job, meaning low priority, hence softer, less defined schedules.

Sorry Dave, but you are just coming across as petty now.

Keith did come on here with an explanation, but I guess YOU are not satisfied. Again, YOU or anyone else can call Keith directly and get all the answers necessary. YOU may not be happy with the answer, but it will be honest and forthright.

This dead horse has been beaten enough.

I am back again.....

I can confirm that Doug (skinnerd) is not Keith, sorry to spoil the conspiracy!

If anyone needs an answer, I would encourage them to call Keith as many have mentioned. Scooter's call appears to have been answered promptly.

Alphonso hit the proverbial nail (almost) on the head....

Cheers
On another note, Ed Nork is selling his red set in the classifieds.....

I can't believe what's going on here, first Skinnerd is Keith, now I'm Richard ... WTF happened?

These Zuffenhaus "Fuchs" wheel cheerleaders are all drinking the same KoolAid. Nothing you or anyone else says about Zuffenhaus delivery problems or product efficacy issues will phase them. Their only interest is in rationalizing. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson, "They can't handle the truth." Don't waste your time.
