Not to answer all your question in specific, but this might help. I can't remember every single detail but hope someone mentioned it in the thread.

The connector is part of the main wiring, so you will need to re-build/glue back the connector or do as SLODAVE and crimp an aligator clip or as other's suggested just solder a female bullet connector and put some marine heat shrink on her.
Hey Rnln, Get back to work!!!

Best to remove the block that it is mounted to and remove/ replace with new sender on the bench vs in situ. See pics in attached thread. Another Oil Pressure Sender Replacement Thread with pics

Thank Guys
The engine will be out so it will be some what easier. Earlier in the year I ran a while with an alligator clip just to confirm the needle jump as the connection seem loose. Short of finding the original connector, I'll do the female bullet connector with a new wire (this one is probably "well done") covered with red shrink. I'll post any finding once I'm done for future search... which I did not do ![]() ![]() ![]() rnln, did you go back to work?

If your cab is an 83 the sender is Carrera not SC. The SC is just a clip on spade.
