Just came upon a pic that shows a 964 engine. What exactly is the tubing over the distributer? Haven't seen that before

I couldn't see anything in the picture, but the 964 twin plug motor had an ozone problem with the disrtibutor drive. A vent tube was placed to remedy. Maybe this is the tube you speak of.

I was thinking about the big silver tube that's attached to the shroud behind the air fan.

For the European 964 RS that do not have a rear heater blower motor this tube is to allow the heater system to operate. The race versions have a heater block off.
