Question re: installing 964 Rocker kit on 82 911SC

I bought a used set of 964 rockers to go on my 82 911SC and I have a question about the flares.

The flares have two bolts in them. One bolt goes through the hole where the old stock rocker was. The other bolt that is higher up on the flare looks as if i would have to drill a hole in the forward side of the rear fender. Is that what I have to do to get these to fit or is there a different way?

Here are some pics...

thats what you do, and make them a little large (they dont show when the piece is on) and you will have more wiggle room for adjustment to get the seam where it meets the front piece to look good

Ok.

Now on the rocker there is a gap between the top of the rocker and the car. Is there some sort of bonding agent or double sided tape to secure these and close the gap?

there is a rubber gasket that goes on the factory piece, but if the gap is too big, you put them in the wrong place, or the molds arent the greatest...
