Anybody have any experience fitting a Ruf polyurethane spoiler on an SC? I'm thinking about adding a front oil cooler and like the look of the Ruf. Also like the fact that it is rubber material. I'm nervous about a fiberglass unit. Thanks,

This is similar to Ruf's spoiler. I had the Ruf style previously albeit was 'glass. The opening is a good size for the B&B cooler and it is less than $400. Ruf's cost is about $1200. Thought you might like to see this to compare. I sourced this piece from AIR. Don't know if they have a fit for an SC though. Good luck. don't you need to have the front fender flares (turbo-style) in order to fit a ruf spoiler or similar???

Adam: They make spoilers for both kinds of fenders. In fact, having a ruf spoiler that fits turbo flares is odd because the ruf spoiler came from the yellowbird that had carrera flares up front.
AIR is American International Racing, I just bought an RSR glass front bumper that has a splitter, and an RSR/IROC carbon rear bumper. They are wonderful and the front weighs 10 pounds while the rear only weighs 5. Gotta love carbon. They will be installed on the 9th, I'll post pics when I get the car back. Keith 79 930 |

Thanks for the posts! How durable are the fiberglass spoilers? Do they self destruct if hit by a flying rock on the highway, etc? Does anyone make a steel ruf type spoiler? Thanks,

Better Bodies has a decent web page with photos of all the different styles they make actually mounted on cars. Take a look. They also make a Ruf knockoff they call the "BB RS Yellow Bird" The wierd thing is it is only shown on the "body kits" page, and not on the front bumpers page. They want $625 for it.
