wild engine idle speed

lately my 82 sc has an idling problem. after 20 to 30miles of freeway driving, I exit the freeway and on to the surface streets. The first stoplight, where I have to wait, more than 15 seconds my idle drops to near stall then revs back up then repeats this until I rev it up with the gas pedal.. Is this a lean condition or what?

I also have an 82sc. If you have an "L" shaped 3 mm allen wrench, put it in the A / F adjustment hole and turn it about 1/8" counter clockwise to Lean it out a little. Mine will surge when Rich!

if it just started doing this, i would not adjust anything. you will just be covering up the problem.

likely the control pressures have changed(bad WUR). and yes, it is running rich.
another possibility is fuse 18 or the o2 sensor relay.

Let us only HOPE that his worse problem is the relay or the Fuse! I just finished making my ar right! I ended up replacing the "0" Rings for the Injectors, The Sleeves and their "0" Rings, AirBox, AND the O2 relay!

WHat made the car start and run the best? What I did yesterday, I took a piece of Green Masking tape and cut it exactly 27 MM Long and stuck it on the Pulley from the Z-1 Notch to the right and then cut down my Dremel Cut off WHeel and put in my own notch. I then set the timing Dynamically at 4K Rpms only to find that the Static timing was off by about 5 degrees (Which is not a problem).

There is NO Knocking and the Cold Start is perfect! (I did have to remove 1 washer from the spring and plunger at the back of the Fuel Distributor that was about 0.017" thick)
