Will these wheels bolt on my 1977 Porsche 911S...

Will a set of 2012 Porsche 991 Carrera C2S forged wheels bolt on to a stock 1977 Porsche 911S wheel hub?

Will they fit correctly on the car if I install Porsche 930 front fenders and rear wheel flares?

The wheel sizes are
Front 8.5 x 20 Wheels
Rear 11 x 20 Wheels

Could somebody else let me know if the bolt pattern is different or is the offset of the wheels too large...or is it both?.

Anybody know what would need to be done to make them work?

Keep in mind your 77 is tiny. With 20's on it...it's going to look...unconventional. It's going to look clownish and throw off the ratio -robbing you of handling and acceleration. For a moment I was considering a 17" on my 75 but as I looked at them more, they just don't fit with the car, or the era. Not to mention I would need to have them custom made as the knockoff fuchs are too wide for my narrow body car. The 16" and 15" with the right wheel and tire look amazing. With 930 flares, you still probably couldn't go 20' . If you're going for a RWB type look, take a look at the rims they use, they are super wide, but small diameter.

Stole this from the 'parked next to a mini' thread lol. it's shocking how small they are.

My meager knowledge is that most 911's do use the same bolt pattern so would they bolt up, maybe. Everything else is a no-go. If you get a chance to test fit them, please do take a photo and post it to the forum, I know many would love to see the result.

They still are 5X130mm aren't they? so you could probably bolt them on after you cut the fender off. :-D
I think the offset on the 6" stock wheels are 38mm from a 77. don't quote me on that. I'm guessing the 2012 rims have huge offsetsd to account for modern brakes. So that would mean you would need a giant spacer.

Here's a visual for some motivation.

No way. I have 16x7 on the rear of mine with stock flares and that barely fits. You could not fit a 8 inch wheel in there let alone 11 inch.

Some of you seem to have missed the part where I said that I am welding 930 Turbo flares onto it.

I will not be running stock flares like you have. Please read my post again.

That will not look very good when you paint it that way.

The 930 Turbo cars only have 6" wide wheels?

Sorry, I read it quickly and thought you said stock 77. I have no idea but in my opinion wouldn't look right anyways.

No, was saying your stock 77. the 77 turbo came with 7 X 16 and 8 x 16 fuchs from the factory. I was thinking in terms of test fitting the height before you did the flare surgery. Let's see the 77 -got a picture?

The issue will come down to offsets. The early 911's have offsets in the 10-23mm range. The new 911's have offsets on the 40-60mm range. As such, you would need to run large (heavy?) adaptors to make the modern wheels fit.

Then you have the usual caveats of "ride height, camber and alignment" as well as intended tire sizes to deal with. Since you are building the car, you could always tweak your turbo flares to make them fit.

Here is a more calculated answer.
The bolt pattern is the same, so that part will work. I don't know if the hub is about the same size. If the 2012 hub is a lot larger it might interfere with the brakes.

You can go to this website and enter data about each wheel and tire and get an idea of the size difference:

Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit

The 991 wheels have a lot more offset, so the increased width goes inward. You will need spacers to push the wheel out to keep from interfering with the body/suspension. If the rears are 4 inches wider than normal (11 vs 7) then you could guess that the tire will stick out three or more inches with spacers than a stock 7 inch wheel, and it will be larger diameter. To be sure, you would need to mock up the wheel and tire dimensions and check to see how much clearance you need with the fenders.

Do some searches to see how big a wheel and tire people have been able to fit under turbo flares. Then you can use the website above to compare and get an idea if your 20 wheels will fit.
Good luck!

Even if you push them under a set of wide body flares, you're going to run into clearance problems against the rear control arms (bananas).

The spacers required could easily be argued unsafe. They would need to be very large spacers if the wheels could be made to fit, which would place the bearings under a stress they were not designed for.
