Nut Size

I find that the M12 hex nut is missing from one of the shock mounts on my car's rear bumper. I wonder, does anyone here know what size this is? Is it a nylock nut, a Porsche-specific thing, or will any old generic nut (of the proper size, of course) work just fine?

Thanks - Jon

It's M12 x 1.50- you're referring to the nuts that hold the shock onto the chassis, yes? These are M12. The nuts that hold the bumper onto the shock are M10 x 1.50

Nothing really special about either of them. A nylock or deformed thread (smushed toplock) nut will work fine. I know for certain the original M12 nut is a toplocker. If you used a plain nut your bumper shock won't fall off....
