Distributor, what did I buy?
I purchased a NOS distributor complete with a nice BOSCH box and everything. It was to be for a 911SC which it also says on the outside of the box. The problem, if it is a problem, this distributor is a 0 237 301 009 and it does NOT have a retard pod on it. Google is a bit vague, but is this a euro SC distributor?

I'm no SC expert but I believe that number is 81-83 Euro SC.

All cross-references I can find say 80-83 ROW SC. So I plugged this guy in last night and nothing. The pulse coil is dead, registers nothing on my meter and is completely open. Rather than harvest the pulse generator from my distributor I went ahead and ordered one from Rock Auto for $19.
I did tear into this distributor to remove the pulse generator. It's a time capsule for sure. It even came with with a spiders nest inside the magnetic pickup area. I'll oil the weights and put the new pulse generator in and use it.
