Need good honest tech in Los Angeles
Tune up issues with an 82 SC.
Need an honest, and competent, air cooled porsche guy in LA. Any suggestions? |

Thanks. I'll keep TRE in mind.
I hear good things about Dutch Treat in Rendondo / Manhattan Beach. Any thoughts on Dutch Treat? He's much closer to me in Marina del Rey. |

Most important is honest and skilled. Well known is hardly a factor for me. Well thought of is a big plus. I have heard very good things about Dutch Treat. Curious if folks here knew him and his work. I realy appreciate the TRE suggestion. I am not in a hurry, but I have learned to be very meticulous when letting someone touch my car.
Thanks again for all your responses. |

If you are in Marina del Rey, don't overlook Otto's in Venice. He's been working on these cars for 40+ years. |

Otto's....respectfully, there are a few on this board that would not stand by that recommendation.

Robbie at Dutch Treat did some work on my car knowing I would be driving it 3000 miles. It ran great all that way, started first time every time and never missed a beat.
Wish his shop was on the East Coast.

As others have mentioned, if you're looking for someone out in the Valley, you won't do better than TRE. Dave moved the shop a couple of years ago, and now it's near Van Nuys Airport, east of Woodley and south of Roscoe. TRE Motorsports
