What To Do With My Fuchs Wheel ? ? ?

I need some inspiration or ideas of what I can do with a damaged flat 6 Fuchs wheel I have kicking around my garage.

It has a crack in the centre section which can be filled and hidden when paint detailing the petals. It's not suitable to go on a car or trailer but could be used in some sort of sculpture or household object of desire.

My fist thoughts are a clock for the garage or cut it up into sectiom to use as book ends but I'm sure some one on here has a better idea.

Sorry, got a wheel for the hose already but only have a wheel from a 1999 Benetton F1 racing car, it's magnesium so it may well have corroded away by now.

Real easy to make a clock out of it.....buy a cheapo battery powered unit. Drill a hole in the center cap, add the hands, instant office or shop clock.

Some do them as is, other whack the back of the wheel off.

Forget the cheap $5 clock movement.
For about $20, buy an ‘atomic clock’.
Simply rob the mechanism that has the radio link to NIST WWV radio station.
It keeps perfect time and even resets itself for daylight savings time.

That is worthy of being a Fuchs clock.

EDIT
On some prior thread, there is a picture of my bedroom TV stand:
A Magnesium centerlock 15x15 from a 917.

Best,
Grady

Definitely cheap.... atomic clock items - Get great deals on Home Garden, Electronics items on eBay.com!

Dunno how big the mechanism is and whether it will fit in the hole, though.

What about a stool with a clear plexi seat over the petals?

Great thread.

I also have a couple of spare wheels not suitable for cars and have been trying to think of things to do with them. I like the coffee table and bar stool ideas. Does anybody have pics of completed tables or stools using fuchs?

Cut in half to use as matching handles for double swing opening garage doors?

A nice backlit wall lamp?
