It never gets old - what we need is some donkey that is over there working on this stuff to become a member of the board so we can pick their brain on what and how things are beign done. Would love to know what some of the coatings they are using on parts etc...

All I have to say is WOW.
Everyone should look through
all the pictures on this Porsche
Factory thread.

I will give this restoration about a 99.8.
It is excellent and Factory!.

Best,
Grady

Is that a hydraulic motor to turn the engine on the stand? How soft we've become!

I couldn't help but pick out all the incorrect details in the engine compartment.

But I guess since the factory did it, it's correct?

I think this is possibly the neatest thing about getting the factory to do your resto.... full documentation on what looks like hard copy and CD ROM

Talk about sending your car's resale value into the stratosphere... U basically are getting your car just as it left the factory... pretty damn cool.

Wonder if they reset the odometer too?

OK, since noone has asked, i gotta.

Anyone want to hazzard a guess as to what all this would set u back??

no leather bound book,
pictures on picassa,
You save on transportation costs!

Its great to see the inner sanctum of factory restoration, love that e-coat in biege!
But what are the red handles glued to the wall and in one pic stuck to the side of the car? magnetic handles for holding down plastic sheeting is a guess..
