I have a beautiful pair of Weber 40 IDS 3c but do not know on which model 911 they were used on. They have a fuel flow tube at top of air horn that the book says is for high rpm to prevent a lean mix. Is it a desireable carb to have. I want to use them with Solex cams on a 2.7 w/RS forged 8.5 pistons

They were used on the original 911S in '67 and '68. They are the perfect carb. for a 2.7, and would work perfectly with 'Solex,' 'E,' S,' or GE-60 cams.
I would encourage the use of 'S' or GE-60 cams! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
