Weber jetting question
I bought a track car from Colorado that has weber carbs. It has a 2.2E engine that appears to be fairly stock other that the carbs. The owner had it tuned for altitudes of around 5000 feet. I am bringing it down to sea level.
Anyone have suggestions for the jets I will want to start with? I'm afraid of running it too lean as is. Drew |

I have a 2.2T with Zeniths and I have been working on the best jets for about the same altitude (4,000 - 7,000 ft). What looks best so far is 50 idles, 185 air correction and 110 mains. For your 2.2E at 0 ft, my first guess would be 55 idles, 195 air correction and 125 mains, assuming you are talking about 40s.
I bought a Innovate AFR meter and found it a must for jetting. Also get a set of jet gauges if you plan on using old jets since they always seem to have been reamed at some time.

Thanks Doug. I wonder, though, if the Webers and Zeniths use similar sized jets.
