Calling all Porsche emblem script experts....

It never ceases to amaze me at the collective knowledge on this forum. I have a question regarding the Porsche emblem below. I have not seen this script and curious if anyone knows what model/car this script would be from:

Photobucket

Thanks in advance if anyone is familiar with this emblem.

Nonsense. It's real or it wouldn't photograph. Craig, you did what? You meant "fell"?
The script does have a lot of similarities to other stuff; the "o", "r", "c"...... ??

Oh boy....

Yes, thank you nesslar...I FELL out of my chair... ha

As for the script, it is a rather odd duck....Have no idea of its original purpose, but it does look cool...Thought by chace it might have come from an obscure, rare model with incredible racing pedigree, but maybe not

Looks like someone applied the 73 Carrera font to the Porsche name in a one off.

Posted these pictures to the thread I started on earlyS, but it is pending moderator approval...?

Anyway, to be clear, I am not looking to retire from this "treasure", but I am still curious about it and now that I have had a chance to take a few pictures of the back, thought I would post an update.

Here is what I know for certain - It is aluminum and relatively heavy, appears to be a cast item to me (?), has some age to it, has 3 threaded studs in the back, is all one piece construction and is approx. 12 1/2" long. If this was a homemade job, which I guess is very well could be, someone had excellent craftsmanship and patience to make it one piece and straight and add the studs to the back (for what?) Take a look and let me know what you think? So far we have no idea of its original purpose if not homemade. If this is the work of a talented DIY'er, any idea how they made it?

It looks to be the same font on the modelmdesignation of the Porsche tractors. But at least the photos I've seen of them the 'porsche' is written in the same font as always. Maybe there's a model of vehicle that carried this. I think it's certainly something unique you have there...

jt912...I just picked it up as a wall art item as I thought it was cool...upon closer inspection, it made me curious since it is made so well and in one piece construction. tks
