I did a bad thing

I traded in my 1980 911 SC Targa to Boardwalk Porsce in Plano Texas for a 2008 Cayman S.
They gave me fair money on trade which took me by surprise .

You went from a nice car to another nice car!
In the end you must be happy with what you drive!;)

Gustyones 01-12-2011 08:08 AM

Excellent! Now someone with testicles will buy and enjoy your old (and beautiful) Targa! :)

Nah. The Hummer H3 makes that redundant... SmileWavy

dad911 01-12-2011 08:22 AM

Cool. I wouldn't mind owning a Caymen S

DanielDudley 01-12-2011 08:26 AM

There is no wonder why they were offering you fair trade.

Cars like that are a draw on the lot.

G450X 01-12-2011 08:28 AM

Enjoy the Cayman...

I wish you had sold me those SC sport seats before you traded though!

daniel911T 01-12-2011 08:29 AM

That Cayman is beautiful! Congrats on the new purchase.

20 years from now that can be your one owner, all records maintained, spotless concours car. :)

Enjoy a car you can just drive. :)

Ditto

Targa Me 01-12-2011 10:35 AM

i think you did ok.

James Brown 01-12-2011 10:39 AM

Caymens are a exciting car. Lighter, faster, lower than the Carrera. But, no longer need all the tools you have. I checked one out with the optional glass engine cover, looks nice.

efhughes3 01-12-2011 10:48 AM

Plus, one word:

WARRANTY!! :D

ArcticOne 01-12-2011 10:58 AM

The Cayman looks great.

So when is the online garage sale as you clear out the spare bits and pieces from the SC? We all have them scattered about.

I've driven the Cayman S.

It drives kinda like my hot-rodded long-hood, but with interior upholstery, HVAC, a nice sound system, and (Gasp!) Cup holders.

I've considered doing the same. The '73 is a bit too high-strung for daily driving. The Cayman is about as fast, but with every creature comfort a guy could want.

You won't be sorry.

Laneco 01-12-2011 02:21 PM

The Cayman S is a sweetie. One of our local guys has one with a very nice aftermarket exhaust. That car sounds FANTASTIC!
