help with window

my passenger window works intermittently. Took door apart today, couldn't figure out whats wrong.

Anyway, to remove the regulator you need the window 1/2 down.

Is there any way to lower the window when its not working???

thanks

Sounds like a failing switch.....I once jumpered the connections in order to use mine while I waited for a new switch to arrive; looked odd as He** but worked.

Try the simple thing first +1 on the switch, Just swap them, if other one works you found the culprit.

Move the known working switch to the passenger side, test, if still not working move the known working switch to the driver side (passenger remote). Hope I was clear.

You need all switch to be plugged in to close the circuit.

On the window, if you have to go that far, remove the motor then the window should move. Take care not to let it drop, it may shatter. I used rubber tipped clamps to hold my glass in place.

I assume(d) because neither driver or passenger switch works the fault is in the door. Of course, I guess both switches could be bad, or maybe if the pass door switch is bad it interrupts the elec path.

If they are both having problems, look for something common to them like the fuse (clean the fuse and wires in the block) and relay.

This wiring diagram may be helpful: http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_Parts/Electrical/911_electrical_82SC_Part4-2.jpg

does anyway know how the switch works? I've got 12 v to the switch, and 12 volts going to the motor. It appears that when you activate the switch, the voltage is cut at the motor?
