Question Chromed Fuchs

We just acquired an 86 930, the rims and spokes ( the part that is normally polished has been chromed ) I've never seen this before but have always had early year P-cars. My questions are: is this factory? and 1 rim needs to be replated does anyone know of any shop that does this type of work? TIA .. Pat

Al Reed Polishing in Anaheim California can chrome, anodize or polish, on a budget. 714 632-3907.

Polished looks better, in my opinion:

Wheel Enhancement should be able to fix you up. http://wheelenhancement.com/main.htm

I've never used them, but I'm sure others will give you the skinny on this place. I seem to remember that people either love this place or hate it.

You might also look at doing something else.... like polishing. IMO, polished looks a lot better than chrome.

the wheel eventually gets pitted under the chrome, making it junk. polishing is better.

Al Reed all the way. Can't lose with him. Painted and polished my Fuchs. Excellent job, only about $600.
