89' sc light switch lost connection problem
HI everyone new to this forum and need some help!!
I just replaced my headlight switch on my 89' 911sc and everything went well till I found that a wire from the switch with a resistor on it came off of something under the dash and i just can't find where it goes. Anyone out the have a clue to what it hooks to? pn# on the resistor is 911 612 249 00 everything seems to work fine with it unhooked but i hate loose wires. Any help would be great!!!! |

89 SC? I did not know they made a SC in 89.
In any case, do you have a pic of the resistor?

If your car is really an SC, the diagram shows a black/red wire coming from the light switch going to a connector. From the connector, the wire is brown and has a resistor. The brown wire connects to a black/blue wire that ends at the hazard flasher, terminal 58. Look for any loose connectors under the dash.
If your car is an 89, you're on your own but there may be some similarity in the wiring.
