engine wire harness replacement help!

hi everyone, replacing wire harness due to short on my 1978 911 sc. some spots are hard to get to ( underneath cis and alternator ). Do i have to take out the cis system and fan, fan shroud...ect to get to these hidden places?

CIS needs to come off to do it properly, also the fan needs to come off so you can slide the alternator out but the shroud can stay on. As a handy thing I label the plugs for the WUR, AAV and sensor plate so before I bolt everything down I can have them in the proper locations.

Maybe you meant AAR? The AAV has no electrical plug.
