CIS motor displacement test?

I have a CIS motor from 73 or 74. Possibly a T. It has "NO" numbers on the 3rd case. The injectors are into the cast intake runners and not the heads. Is this specific to a certain year? How can I tell the displacement and year? Is it a 2.4 or 2.7? Were there any year specific parts or other numbers that will make the identification? Help Bri

The 73 heads have inserts in the heads for the injectors, non threaded pressed in.
The 74 is divided between the 911 and the 911S. The 911 has smaller ports and a lighter cam, same as the 2.4 cis.
The S has the S cis cams and large port heads.
The compression is 1/2 point less on the 911

Assuming no one has had it appart and done "things" its a 2.7 if the injectors are in the runners.
Aren't there a serial number and a type number on the case, next to the fan on the right side?
If not, why isn't there?

A 2.7 will also have aluminum cylinders, a 2.4T will have cast iron or possible biral (aluminum with steel liner). A magnet should be able to tell if its a biral.

Replacement engine cases from Porsche did/do not have serial numbers. Blank.

As the "story" goes, the motor was repaired under warranty some where. The new case had no numbers being a replacement.
Some late 73 2.4 "T" engines had CIS? Did they look (attach) the same, head or intake runner? Here is a pic of mine. Tx Bri

Checked the cylinders and they are non magnetic. Tx Bri

Quick tip: tear apart your non functional hard drives. The neodymium magnets are great for putting on oil filters etc. They will not fall off.
