Quick question

This should be easy for you guys. Is the dash in a late eighties carrera the same as a 964? I bought a 964 dash for my 84 and need the defrost trim piece. I just wanted to make sure if I bought the defrost trim from a late eighties it would fit the 964 dash.

As far as I know the design of the dash changed 1986. Not sure if you can make a post-86 dash fit a car from 1984. Maybe someone else can chime in.

You are correct, it changed in 86.

Thanks for the help guys. I have actually put the 964 dash in my 84...with some metal cutting and hole drilling. I now need to get the defrost trim piece to complete the dash. I just want to check that if I buy one from a post 86 carrera, it will match up with my 964 dash.
