My New SC

just got a new toy yesterday!!!!
it's a 1983 SC. Car has been lowered but otherwise 100% bone stock and unmolested. same owner for 21 years. it has turbo valve covers and pop off valve but no tensioners. 114k miles on the odometer. no rust.
car needs a tune-up, rear tires and maybe even a paint job if i feel like it. interior is just about mint other than the slightly warped dash. oh and the a/c is inop.
it runs and drives great.
picked it up for $7800.
i really wanted a carrera 3.2 but i think i for the price this one should keep me happy for now. unless that g50 i've been wanting comes along............
here she is:

THAT IS A STEAL!

Sweet ride. You could be proud of that for 2x that price. I have an SC as well. As I parked it in the drive tonight, I couldn't help giving it an admiring glance and a little "love pat." Great cars.

With the SC, the carrera tensioners are not critical. The SC's start making noise a long time before they fail. And C-tensioners can fail too.

Miami, hmmmm, you may want to look into recharging the A/C in 3-4 months.

Whoa that's what I call a deal! You can get excellent advise from this board. I've had mine for over 10 years and am in Miami too, so if you ever get stuck with something, give me a holler.

That's a great deal! There is one locally here for 7800 I almost got but when i looked at the car it needed an astronomical amount of work. I ended up spending more and getting the other one i had been looking at. You got a hell of a deal! Nice grab!
