In truth, there never was a factory RSR decal.
The 73 RSR used the same RS decal on the back deck lid as did the 73 RS. When you see an RSR decal, it has been "home made." ![]() Go here to see what the decal looks like on an authentic 73 RSR: http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/image/82732765 Also many other authentic/real RSR's here to check out their decals: http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/911rsr_factory_1973

Ya know....I can believe that the "RSR" logo is a cludged up owner's idea....but I keep seeing the goofy looking "RS"as being correct. The RS bible and posters show it....but I see supposedly REAL RS with an incorrect logo.....this stuff gives me a headache.
My decision to include BOTH made a while back has been the smart idea.... ![]()

Actually, there WAS a factory Carrera RSR decal in 1974.
I lived in Jacksonville then and clearly remember a GP White "as delivered" brand new '74 RSR on the showroom floor at Brumos that had a Carrera RSR decal on the rearlid, same font as was used in 1973. I have a picture somewhere in my photo archives to verify. Once these cars were race-prepped, the decals usually disappeared once the team graphics were applied or the cars were repainted a different color.

JB,
I will send you a message on your website for a correct version of this graphic. I have been looking for this to put on a factory ducktail for my RS. Thanks. ![]()
