How much current should a Tracking device draw?
I have a Quicktrak tracking unit/ alarm / de-mobiliser fitted to my vehicle. Following a spate of very wet Sydney weather, I have suffering from flat batteries.
I measured the current draw on the tracking system to find it is drawing 0.15 amps when armed - is this considered excessive?

If you park your car underground, the tracker will keep searching for the satellite. Depending on the system, this can drain the battery fairly quickly, i.e. 3 days.
On another note, where do you take your car to be serviced in Sydney? |
