1970 911S Review
After 40 years and at least 5 moves, a box with some old Road and Track magazines still survived. Inside the March 1970 issue, I found this review of the 1970 911S. Thought you all might like to take a look at it.

An S on the drag strip. Makes no sense. It makes all of its power at the high end of the band and same with torque. E would actually take an S in the qtr. Guess it was more of a publicity shot than anything.

You have to love the quote from the article that says: "Perhaps the little factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen might be cranking out too many cars now to be able to make them like they used to."

I've got the Road and Track special compilation of '70s Porsche Road Tests- 911, 914, 917, 908. It has that article in it.
