Automatic heating control knob?/

Can someone tell me the part # for this. Also, my manual says it has positions 1-9 but mine only shows 1-3 (tried to turn it and broke it hence need for replacement!)....is there only supposed to be 1-3 or 1-9? thx

Two different autoheat systems, depending on year I think. My 85 has the 1-9 version; what year is yours?

FYI, you might want to download the PET for your car at the Porsche website. For 87-89 it's here:

Good luck

You dont have auto heat. That knob controls the footwell blowers with 3 speed settings but it only works when at least one of the heat levers is activated.

ok, I think the knob isnt the problem. The little white piece that the knob fits onto is broken and a new switch is $500...guess some super glue work might be in order

Auto heat only has one lever and 0-9 + defrost.
