save the whale! (tail rubber)

hello,
did a search and had no luck so i thought i would ask..........what is the best preservative to use on the exterior rubber trim and whale tail on the 911? do products containing silicone cause problems?

glycerin is at your local drug store. about $20 for a large bottle.

I used regular old vaseline this winter and it works great.

One Grand Exterior Rubber and Vinyl
No silicone, blocks UV, looks good, no greasy or hi gloss ugliness, restores color. I've used it for years.
Not all silicone is bad but most inexpensive products have the bad kind and will dry out your rubber and vinyl.

303 Aerospace Protectant was hard to find a few years ago. But now it seems easier to get. They have a "where to buy" at there web site. Looks like a lot of car dealers in my area carry it. Link below.
