911 Billet Shift Knob

I just bought a new billet shifter knob for my 86 Carrera for $39.99 from NMS996 (Nirvana Motorsports) on eBay. He carries both shift patterns, R at lower right or R at upper right. Just let him know when you order. It's a really nice piece that fits great and is held in place with two small allen head set screws that flush up nice when mounted. Just use a little loctite on the threads. My old plastic one came off in my hand on the way to work and I didn't want to spend a butt load of money on replacing it... and I didn't, but was pleasantly surprised when it came in the mail. Check him out. Below is a pic from his ebay store... mine looks identical.

Cheers!

-Troy

I purchased one of these for a 914, very nice craftsmanship. I was very happy with it.

I just looked around the web and then on ebay, and from everything I saw out there... this guy had the highest quality piece for the lowest price. So, I threw a dart and ordered one. Really, really nice piece. Installation was a snap too... and thanks to a post from another pelican, I learned an easy trick on getting the old crush washer ring off. Find a crescent wrench with a with big enough to go around the shifter rod but not big enough to slip over the crush washers. Stick in on there and hammer it from below. No stress on anything and after about 3 licks... off it comes. Piece of cake!
